Kentucky’s Workers’ Compensation Law Changes Effective July 2018
Governor Bevin has signed off on House Bill 2, which will make comprehensive changes to workers’ compensation in Kentucky. The changes initiated by House Bill 2 intend to save employers money by limiting their liability. The bill is set to go into effect on or about July 12, 2018.

Supreme Court Rules To Uphold Employment Arbitration Agreements
On May 21, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of employers in a 5-to-4 decision that employment arbitration agreements do not violate the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). This ruling enables arbitration agreements to be enforceable under the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) and validates mandatory class waivers.
